I Say You The Bestest

Friday, Friday!

Here's a fun look for the weekend. A different way to wear an embroidered skirt.
I love this little number from Forever21, it can be dressed up or down, here's how I dressed it down:
Styled it with an old tee and combat boots. For acessories I went with my favorite necklace, antique silver with a black stone, kept things to a minimum, the skirt is loud enough!
The result was a mix between casual&chic, street cool.
Perfect for a dinner date, b-day party or house party, somewhere you want to be casual with a touch of glam!

Nanda

Linen Lovin'

Good afternoon!

Keeping your clothes organized is a very important role when it comes to getting the most out of your pieces.
When I lived at my moms house I had a big room, with a large closet for myself. It was always a mess and my closet was a chaotic place you didn't want to find your self in. I would shop for various things and never wear, or wear something once and forget it existed, due to my lack of organization.
After I moved into my mini egg of a home (which I love), my closet space went from large to extra small! Organization was key to fashion survival, I had no choice but to be a neat freak.
Now at least twice a month I re fold everything and check for forgotten pieces, these shorts were hidden way deep in my drawer. Summer is almost over, I need to get as much use out of it while I still can.
I styled the sweet hidden piece with a cool print cropped top (that used to be a romper), a tied up leather belt and heavy strappy wedges.
For added details a maxi turquoise earring, gold sunnies, chunky rings and a vintage-like mini purse.
The color scheme is very warm: burgundy, brown and olive green, with a touch of cool, navy blue.
The result was sweet and edgy, with a slight boho vibe, I love every bit of it.

Shake Shake Shake

Hey!

If you don't own any fringed pieces, go, run, buy one!
There is nothing funner than shaking around these little beauties, I feel like Shakira ( cough, cough).
Here's a combo you can never go wrong, black and white. Even though there's been a B&W craze lately, it has always been a chic choice of colors.
Since I wanted all the attention to go to the skirt, I kept things simple up top: black muscle tee.
The belt and clear sandals are my top favorite accessories, they go with everything and adds a nice edgy punch to the look.

Short Shorts and Chucks

Good night!

Enjoying the last few days to wear short shorts without tights!
Here's a laid back Sunday outfit, destroyed shorts, light button up and some converse chucks.
Of course to take things from boring to fun: big earrings, sunnies and animal print belt.
Doesn't get much simpler than that :)

Nanda

Print Obsession

Heeeeeeey, hey!

Guess who's super excited to show you all her new boots?! ME ME ME!!!
They arrived Wednesday and I am so so so in love.
Today I broke them in for a quick dinner with my husband.
Since summer is almost at it's end, I'll be pulling out my long sleeved blouses out of the drawers. Blouses are a huge part of my wardrobe, especially printed ones. Love wearing them buttoned up all the way, it gives a elegant&trendy touch.
Styled it with denim cutoffs and of course, my new babies!
Hope you all enjoy your weekend, have fun and be safe.

Love,
Nanda
Ps: Look who joined me for pics today!! Baby Lolla, isn't "she" the cutest thing ever?

Can't Get Enough

Hey, hey!

You know that one outfit you always want to wear? Like, when you're a kid and all you want to wear is that old Barbie/Spice Girls/Tweety Bird t-shirt, or  those pair of jeans that ripped on the knees from playing like a little dude during recess?
This is the case for this dress. My little brother always says " Why do you always wear that dresssss?!?"
There are many reasons: it's floral, dark, goes well with anything, easy to wear, perfect for the humid/hot weather, it has a "vintage" vibe to it and so on.
And you know how they say " your ____(enter piece of clothes here) is going to start walking around by it's self!"
It might just be true, and this dress my friends, will go many places!

Love,
Nanda

Ain't No Sunshine

Good night!

First of all I wanted to thank everyone who takes their time to check out the blog, to leave a comment, "like" posts on Glitter For Dinner's Fan Page and for all the encouragement my friends and family give me. It means so much to me, thank you all!

This crochet dress is one of those multi use pieces, I've worn it with shorts and a tank top, as a beach cover up and here as a dress.
Don't you love garments that allow you to use and re-use a million different ways? After all, that's what style is all about, creativity.
For an edgier feel, I threw over the surplus vest, colorful necklace and spiked flats. I've been wearing these flats non-stop, love the way it ties up on the ankles, I find it super flattering.
Love,
Nanda
